Places to Eat
Savio Volpe
Fresh, excellent Italian food is available at Savio Volpe, a traditional Italian osteria. Their pastas are made by hand in-house, and meals are cooked in the wood-fired grill and rotisserie. With a focus on quality and simplicity, the food, drinks and restaurant setting are both contemporary and timeless.
Nuba
A popular spot with locals, Nuba in Mount Pleasant offers signature Lebanese fare, fresh-squeezed juices, coffee, and more. Taking cues from 1970s design, the restaurant’s bright colours and geometric designs create a welcoming feel. A favourite is Najib’s Special: crispy cauliflower tossed with lemon and sea salt, and served with tahini.
Earnest Ice Cream
With mouth-watering flavours like Butter Pecan, Whiskey Hazelnut, and Salted Caramel, Earnest Ice Cream has customers lined up out the door on most days. The local business focuses on small batches, allowing them to experiment with fresh and new ingredients like elderflower. The shop also uses environmentally friendly reusable glass jars for their ice cream pints.
