Nancy-Jean is not only a wonderful person she’s a wonderful real estate agent. I had been looking for a condo in the West End for 3 years. I happened to walk into Sotheby’s when I was in the neighbourhood and met with Nancy-Jean. She was very professional, honest and really patient. We enjoyed walking around the West End looking at places in the spring. I pointed out a building I was interested in and one week later she called to tell me there was an open house! My condo is fantastic and I wouldn't have found it without Nancy-Jean.
If you’re looking for a real estate agent you can trust completely with a great amount of integrity call Nancy-Jean today! Thanks Nancy-Jean.

The smartest move I ever made was to contact Sotheby's International Realty Canada and speak with agent Nancy-Jean O'Carroll who told me she would be very pleased to help sell my home at a good price. Nancy-Jean and her associate Jacqueline F. Swaisland came to visit and after a thorough inspection gave me an estimate with which I was very satisfied. They staged the home and took care of all the necessary details with professional expertise. The also advised and helped me with my move. Nancy-Jean and Jacquie were a delight to work with and were always pleasant and fun to be around. They advertised my home locally and internationally and as a result the house was sold in six weeks at a price with which I was happy. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Sotheby's International and these two agents to anyone who is thinking of putting their home on the market. I can guarantee good results and complete satisfaction in every respect with Nancy-Jean O'Carroll and Jacquie Swaisland.

We highly recommend Nancy-Jean and Jacquie, we could not have asked for a better, more professional team to sell our house. From Nancy-Jean's excellent guidance on the selling price, and her suggestions for preparing and updating the house to Jacquie's elegant yet cozy staging, the entire process was a pleasure. The final, and most satisfactory, result was multiple above asking price offers in only 2 days.

Hello Nancy-Jean!
I'm overdue, thanking you for selling my West Van cottage so effectively, and helping me locate and take possession of my Pender Harbour abode where a day does not go by without heartfelt appreciation of my current circumstances!
I bought the West Van cottage in 1962 via a rent-to-own scheme from a speculator caught with too many empty Vancouver properties in one of the many mini-recessions that marked both the '50s and the '60s. The first year's rent was converted to down payment for the full price of $11,000. The house had started as a summer cottage on Hollyburn mountain, that had been added to more or less competently by subsequent owners. The full lot was one big blackberry patch but the view to the south with Mount Baker above Lion's Gate Bridge on clear days, and Point Grey at the northwest periphery was spectacular.
The push and pull of both good and bad periods in my first career as journalist and editor, had me almost lose the house on a couple of occasions. When I had to go work in Montreal, my parents moved into the cottage. Dad and I laboriously cleared the blackberries, and with the help of a neighbour, removed a couple of stumps. While I was in Montreal, mom and dad turned the lot into a show garden with its magnificent old growth trees. They had a fine 20 years there. My own daughters loved the place as well, and I'd planned to retire there myself eventually but shifting fortunes and the rise of West Van taxes and services promised hardship in retirement. Eventually, it became obvious that the logical move would be to sell the place and retire somewhere else.
The show garden had reverted to the blackberry stage while I worked as a consultant in Calgary during my second career, and a daughter had lived in the cottage for a six year period but the view was still fine. I remembered you working at Stong's, later IGA in Dundarave, and your excitement upon leaving retail to go into real estate quite a few years back. Through a mutual friend, I quickly traced you to Sotheby's Realty and sought you out to help me sell the place in the summer of 2010.
Your help and suggestions were invaluable, and the place sold within a couple of months for $1¼ million. Before the actual sale, my oldest daughter and I toured Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast, scouting for my preferable retirement location. Pender Harbour was the clear winner as I planned to fit in some coastal cruising with a sailboat. Then you nailed the sale, and I asked for your help in finding the new Sunshine Coast domicile. You prepared a batch of listing prospects which we winnowed down to some 14 which we went to inspect over two days with your husband as chauffeur. We found the clear winner in Pender Harbour and you prepared my bid and saw through the details of the subsequent purchase for about a third of what the West Van property had sold for. Possession was October 01, 2010. A day has not gone by since where I have not felt blessed by my good fortune. I now live on a different hillside with a peaceful view over Texada Island to Vancouver Island. The Westcoast Contemporary style house was well built with Western Red Cedar inside and out in 1972 with a fine deck and a working hot tub that I quickly converted to salt water. Life is good and I'll always be thankful to you for your input to help me get to here.
