Renting an apartment is quite different than selling a house. The tenants can be your best friends or your worst nightmare, particularly when they live next door to you. With the City of Toronto rules that favour tenants, get a wrong tenant and you are stuck! I've been there. It is beyond awful. It sucks the blood out of you. Kimberley set the bar for tenants high. Her philosophy was clear and meshed with mine - give me a tenant that I don't have to worry about. Beyond the usual due diligence of on-site visit checks, credit checks, reference checks, employment checks and turning out the paperwork, it was the knowledge that someone was being my detective and flushing out the problems. I'd hand her a check for that peace of mind.

We were looking for a rental to share. We saw many, many listings that we thought might work . Each property had it’s ups and downs and it was hard to see which ones were real possibilities. All we were seeing was jumble of properties each with it’s own- well ..properties. Kimberley was able to understand what our needs and to pick three properties that she thought were different ways of meeting those needs. We really liked one of them and wanted it. There were a number of different hoops we had to jump through. They didn’t seem like particularly easy hoops, but Kimberley was able to metaphorically line them up, and get us through them unscathed. We got the rental and we’re really pleased with it. We saw a jumble of different properties and didn’t have a clue. Kimberley picked three good possibilities, quite possibly the three best possibilities.

Kimberley is truthfully the only reason that we are homeowners in downtown Toronto. Our story is a bit unusual in that we were only looking for a home for two weeks prior to purchasing our current home. My husband and I saw a listing online, called up Kimberley on a referral from good friends who had used her previously, and she made time the very next day to show us the home. When that purchase fell through, two weeks later she had the brilliant idea to suggest that we consider a private sale from other clients of hers who were looking to sell but did not want to list their home. We saw it, fell in love with it, and had a signed Agreement of Purchase and Sale a few days later. It is accurate to say that if Kimberley had not gone out of her way to show us the privately sold home, there is no way we would be living in it today!
