The location of Bay and Islands View Hotel allows for some fantastic tours for guests, including the Curu Wildlife Park 15 minutes away, the San Lucas (formerly prison) island (being renovated by the current government), San Pedro (monkey) island, Tortuga island famous for top-quality snorkeling, whale and dolphin watching, canopy and waterfall tours, and even night-kayak tours of the bioluminescence naturally forming in the waters off the coast of the Gulf of Nicoya.
The Tambor airport is a 30 minute drive, and there are municipal plans for a marina at Tambor. The Paquera and other ferries are not far, connecting guests to the mainland and the rest of the península. This hotel is unique given the location, as it is the only one of its class in the area.
