When Sothebys International Realty Canada wanted to expand into Alberta, they contacted me. I held the two assets they needed, a licensed Brokerage managed by a licensed Broker. In the fall of 2010 Sothebys Realty acquired my Brokerage and I became the Broker for the Province of Alberta. A few months later we opened our first office with our initial group of Associates.

Over time I realized I missed the face-to-face relationships that come with trading in Real Estate, so I relinquished the Broker role and focused on dealing with Buyers and Sellers as I do today.

The advantage of being a Broker is you are licensed to trade in different classes of Real Estate, Residential, Rural and Commercial and I do some of each of those. My initial experience in real estate began in 1978 when I moved to Calgary to manage a home building company, part of a larger development corporation. I spent the first 15 years of my real estate career working with single family builders.

With the rebirth of multi-family development in the 1990’s I opened my own consulting practice, SIX Real Estate Consulting Inc. a company that focused on marketing major multi-family condominium projects. Our range of services included market research, project strategy, creative services and sales management. I am proud of what we accomplished in that company but especially grateful to all those very smart and hard-working young people that made the company what it was. I still do consulting work under that banner.

Now, in the later stages of my career I am delighted to be able to work with Heather Waddell. She and I have shared values and that is critical to a real estate team. Heather brings 40+ years of residential experience and has been an elite, top producer over those years. But more importantly her tireless work ethic on behalf of her clients coupled with her personal integrity make her standout from other agents.
