Horseshoe Bay

Sewell’s Marina is an institution in Horseshoe Bay. The site’s history and exquisite location demanded a treatment that served the community and respected the uniquely beautiful natural setting. Architect Paul Merrick has envisioned a terraced community of 158 residential homes, with a small-scale commercial development at grade. With a design that is careful to embrace, but not obstruct, the waterfront, it features resort-inspired homes and an enhanced public realm that focuses on pedestrian connections to the neighbouring park and beyond. The design brief referred to the coastal villages of the Mediterranean, such as those on the Amalfi coast. From there, Merrick’s command of the West Coast architectural vernacular picked up the theme and has produced the West Coast Modern project that is now under construction in Horseshoe Bay. The waterfront residences are complimented by an exquisite Boat House amenity unlike any other. A welcoming hall that opens onto Horseshoe Bay, the Boathouse will be home to a luxury Corsair 25 Chris Craft boat for the exclusive use of residents. The spacious amenity will also be the perfect waterfront venue for events such as wine-tastings, yoga and pilates workshops, sailing lessons, serving as a communal gathering place for residents year round.
