Côte-Nord is a vast, wild and lush region in Quebec, extending from Tadoussac to Blanc-Sablon and from the north shore of the St. Lawrence River northward to where the boreal forest gives way to the taiga. It’s a region boasting pristine wilderness and 25 proud municipalities that are home to slightly more than 1% of the province's population.

Measuring close to 250,000 km², Côte-Nord is the second largest administrative region by land area, covering much of the northern shore of the Saint Lawrence River estuary and the Gulf of Saint Lawrence past Tadoussac. Just over 97,000 residents spread across 25 municipalities call the region home, most of them residing in the towns of Baie-Comeau and Sept-Îles.

This is the place to live if you prize fresh air, time in the wilderness and outdoor adventure. Côte-Nord is home to the Whale Route, which runs along the coast from Tadoussac to Blanc-Sablon. From the small harbour porpoise to the enormous blue whale, the 13 whale species found in the Saint Lawrence can be observed along this route. Other natural landmarks include the canyons of Anticosti Island, the mysterious monoliths of the Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve of Canada, Tadoussac Bay (a member of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World Club) located in the heart of the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park, and the verdant landscapes of the Groulx Mountains.
