Born in Sudbury, Mike relocated to Orillia at the age of ten, where he spent his youth embracing the rugged beauty of Ontario’s northern lakes. From canoe tripping in Algonquin Park to navigating the waterways from Lake Simcoe through the Trent-Severn to Georgian Bay, the outdoors have always been an integral part of his life. Many of his fondest memories were shaped on his grandparents' property on Stahls Road north of Huntsville, where he spent seasons harvesting maple syrup and exploring the acreage—instilling a lifelong passion for the Muskoka region.

Mike’s passion for real estate began early through his own hands-on experience buying, renovating, and selling homes. Today, integrity and honesty form the cornerstone of his career. He believes in straightforward, transparent communication, always prioritizing his clients' long-term happiness over a quick transaction.

A respected leader in the real estate community, Mike played a pivotal role in merging the former Muskoka/Haliburton Association of Realtors with the Orillia Real Estate Board, serving two terms as President of the newly formed association. He also dedicated four years as a Regional Director for the provincial association, where he chaired the Government Relations Committee. Deeply committed to his community, Mike has supported the local women’s shelter, served on the Simcoe-Muskoka Child Advocacy Centre board, and currently chairs the Orillia Library Board.
