Residents of Sugar House — so named because of the nearby site of a sugar beet factory in the 1800’s — have a deep affinity for their leafy streets and solid bungalows. Sugar House is also the home of Westminster College, one of the top private liberal-arts colleges in the nation. If you watched the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, you probably saw Westminster students. Out of 230 athletes on the U.S. team, 23 were attending Westminster. Forbes magazine has ranked Utah the No. 1 state for business four out of the last five years. Salt Lake County is the home of the NBA’s Utah Jazz, Real Salt Lake of the MLS, University of Utah Pac-12 athletics, and was the host of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.
