*The LESSEE must ensure that the interior of the property is properly maintained (housekeeping, dusting, cleaning of surfaces, appliances, heat pump, etc.) during the entire period of occupancy and that the premises are returned in the same condition as they were at the time of move-in. Except for normal wear and tear, any damage must be repaired at the tenant's expense before vacating the premises.

*The LESSEE must ensure that the exterior of the property is properly maintained (mowing of lawn, pruning of perennials/small shrubs if necessary, clearing of exterior stairways at depending on seasonality), etc. The LESSEE is responsible for removing snow from stairways, entrances and applying abrasive if necessary.
