The Estate is nestled in the heart of the region of Charlevoix, East of the Laurentides Wildlife Reserve and a few miles from the Grands Jardins National Park.
With its 4.13 km2 ( 1.6 square mile), it is a dream site for nature lovers looking for open space, tranquility, privacy, fresh air and beautiful scenery. It offers many enjoyable activities with each season: - In the Fall: The mountains in their fall foliage are of unmatched beauty. On a clear day their reflections over the 3 lakes will enchant any photography lover. It is a great time for hiking, moose hunting or picking up wild blueberries. - In the Winter: The snow covered lakes and mountains in contrast with the crisp blue sky offer the most peaceful and relaxing setting. Winter sports lovers can enjoy 22km (14miles) of private trails for cross country skiing, snow mobile rides & snow shoeing. Clear the snow on the lake and you can have your own ice rink! - In the Spring: Watch the ice cap on the lake slowly disappear as nature comes alive again. - In the Summer: Boat, canoe, kayak, paddle board, swim or fish in the clear water of one of the 3 private lakes. The estate will delight Fishing & Hunting lovers. The 3 private lakes abound with wild trout. The territory has been managed by its owners with strict sustainable forestry practices which have contributed to the healthy growth of the moose population. There are 4 wooden chalets on the territory: 3 chalets located at Lac à la Cruche and one chalet located at Lac Compain. 1. The main chalet includes a large living room with a superb stone fireplace and a view of the lake, a very functional kitchen, a living room with a view of the lake, 3 bedrooms with their private bathroom. A covered veranda surrounds a large part of the chalet: a beautiful place to meet and contemplate the beauty of the lake, the mountains and the night sky. 2. Chalet no. 2 has a living-dining room, a kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom. A beautiful covered veranda faces the lake. 3. Chalet no 3 is a large space serving as a living-dining room and kitchen. There is also a bathroom. 4. The last chalet (at Lake Compain) is the most rustic of all: there is a single room with a wood stove, a dining table and a space with 4 beds.
All the chalets are made of wood with a tin roof. Electricity is produced by solar panels and a generator. There is propane central heating and a wood stove. Water comes from an esker (source) by gravity
