“It is a bourgeois property built in the Second Empire architectural style. This style was inspired by the public buildings built in France during the reign of Napoleon III, and it gained a certain popularity in the United States and Canada. In America, it is also known as French Cottage or French Mansard. The property is comprised of a square, two-storey main building, a four-sided mansard roof, and a turret along the facade, partly incorporated into the architecture. The turret has a pavilion roof with a truncated peak whose slopes, like those of the main roof, are pierced with dormer windows. A front porch wraps around the sides of the house, and is topped by a balcony.
