The house sits quietly within 4,410 square metres of gently terraced land planted with olive trees and native vegetation, its pale stone walls and muted palette designed to merge naturally with the dry landscape and soft coastal light. From the moment of arrival, the architecture turns outward toward the horizon, with every principal space oriented to the uninterrupted 180-degree view.
The villa is arranged across a carefully composed single-level layout that prioritises openness, privacy and the gradual transition between interior and exterior living. A restrained material palette defines the house throughout: soft limestone tones, pale oak, textured plaster and natural fabrics allow changing light to become the dominant feature of the interiors. Large sliding openings dissolve the boundaries between rooms and terraces, while shaded pergolas and deep overhangs temper the midday sun and create cooler outdoor spaces during the height of summer.
At the centre of the house, the main living and dining area forms one continuous open-plan space facing directly toward the sea. A long timber dining table sits beneath sculptural pendant lighting, while the sitting area gathers around a simple fireplace and broad sliding doors opening onto the terraces beyond. The kitchen remains integrated but discreet, with natural wood cabinetry, stone surfaces and carefully concealed storage maintaining the calm visual rhythm of the interiors. Throughout the day, light moves slowly across the soft neutral surfaces, reflecting the changing colour of the water outside.
The three bedrooms are positioned to maintain separation and quiet, each opening toward private outdoor areas or sea-facing terraces. The outdoor spaces are organised around a striking infinity pool that extends toward the horizon. At its centre, a sunken seating area creates a sheltered gathering space set directly within the water itself, positioned to capture the changing light over the Ionian throughout the day. Broad pale terraces surround the pool, while shaded outdoor dining and barbecue areas sit beneath timber pergolas framed by dry-stone walls built in the local Kefalonian tradition. The landscaping remains intentionally low and natural, allowing the surrounding olive groves, cypress trees and distant sea to remain visually dominant.
In the late afternoon, the light softens across the terraces and the sea turns silver beneath the western sky. From the edge of the pool, the horizon remains uninterrupted except for the occasional passing sailboat moving slowly between the islands.
