It's a place where kids go to school together, grow up together, and make those lifelong friendship bonds. It's a place where neighbours meet just down the road at the gumboot for coffee, or just up the hill to pick up their fresh produce and preserves at the hall market on Wednesdays. This particular property has been transformed over the years, with family in mind. The main home has had a steel beam (earthquake-proof) addition added on for the garage area. This was constructed without centre support to enable a large travel trailer to be backed into place with ease. Above the garage, we added two large bedrooms for growing teens, a lovely deck off the front and another off the back of the home. There is a natural gas BBQ hookup on the back deck, and the addition was built and wired to enable the owner to make a separate suite with its own private access if they so chose to do so.
The two bathrooms upstairs were completely redesigned in 2018 by Spani construction, allowing for large glass walk-in showers in each, a jacuzzi soaker in the master and lovely heated floors. The Beachwood vinyl plank flooring throughout the main home is easy-care, and durable. The main home has three natural gas fireplaces, keeping heating costs in the winter at a minimum.
