Nicolas Tétrault is a past politician and entrepreneur in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He served on the Montreal City Council in the Plateau Mont-Royal Borough from 2001 to 2005, initially as a member of Vision Montreal (VM) and later for the rival Montreal Island Citizens Union (MICU). Tétrault has also sought election to the House of Commons of Canada and the National Assembly of Quebec at the age of 19 making him one of the youngest in history to run at the Provincial Parliament.
Mr. Tétrault has been active real estate mostly in the province of Quebec but also in New-Brunswick, in Ontario and in the Cayman Islands (UK). Mr. Tetrault purchased his first two properties at the age of 18 with his own money as he had 3 part-time jobs while studying at College Jean-de-Brebeuf and continued investing in Real Estate later on then he purchased two real estate agencies in 2007 and rebranded them to create Royal LePage du Quartier that he sold 12 years later in 2016.
Mr. Tetrault also co-owns two new radio stations in Montreal: CFNV-940 AM and CFQR-600 AM. Mr. Tetrault has concluded some of the largest commercial real estate transactions in Quebec and in Canada and he has been invited on many occasions as a guest speaker in Real Estate Forums and also invited to train and give classes to other brokers.
Mr. Tetrault holds both a Bachelor and a Master’s degree in Political Science from the Université de Montreal and a diploma from the Summer University of Lyon in France in European Politics. Mr. Tetrault also participates in numerous counter-terrorism seminars mostly on how to bankrupt terrorism funding. Mr. Tetrault speaks English, French and is learning Hebrew, Spanish and Italian. Mr. Tetrault decided in 2020 to realign his brokerage career towards practicing also residential brokerage as his commercial clients are amongst some of the richest citizens – local and foreign. It is not excluded that Mr. Tetrault will come back sooner than later to Canadian politics.
