Elaine Hung is the Chief Marketing Officer at Sotheby’s International Realty Canada where she oversees the company’s marketing, lead generation, public relations, industry research and product development initiatives. She stewards the team that envisions and executes the company’s digital transformation strategy, empowering delivery of innovative software and digital marketing solutions for clients, agents and employees.
During her time at Sotheby’s International Realty Canada, her team has increased consumer website traffic by over 300%, built and launched cloud-based real estate practice management and marketing software, introduced the magazine Insight: The Art of Living, and refocused the company’s marketing to a digital-first strategy across all channels.
During her tenure, the company has also established itself as an authoritative voice in Canadian real estate news and research, averaging close to 900 earned media hits per year, with coverage in major outlets such as Canadian Press, Reuters, Wall Street Journal, The Globe and Mail, Financial Post, BNN, Bloomberg, and more. She leads the research and delivery of the company’s luxury real estate and generational trends reports, cited by media and public policy think-tanks Canada-wide.
Prior to Sotheby’s International Realty Canada, Elaine’s marketing career spanned the technology, professional services, real estate and destination marketing sectors, including at REALTOR.com®, Top Producer Systems, Tourism British Columbia and Cossette.
Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Elaine has been a volunteer for over two decades. She has led marketing and public relations campaigns for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s CIBC Run for the Cure, Special Olympics British Columbia, imagine1day, and currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for One to One Literacy.
