Julie Ashley’s career in Real Estate has spanned several decades, originally recruiting and training new realtors for future success. She developed a three month mentoring program that was widely used to assist new recruits, and eventually when the time was right, put her knowledge to work, to become a leader in the Guelph market, having been awarded the coveted Diamond award for top 3% in Royal LePage Canada. She attributes her success to possessing a highly principled approach and giving exceptional, unparalleled service to her clients, and believes working as part of Sothebys enables her to further provide top drawer quality service and maximum exposure for her clients.
She enjoys the challenge of overseeing the entire listing process of maximizing the value and marketability of a home, while reducing clients’ stress substantially. This is accomplished with a team who co-ordinate renovations or improvements, stage, declutter, and anything required to make the transition seamless. On occasion this has been completed while Sellers are out of country for the entire process.
Julie got an early start in Real estate, having co-owned investment properties in the eighties, and understands well the changing cycles of Real Estate, Additionally, she and her husband extensively renovated an 1865 Italianate limestone home that is now on the National Registry of Heritage Homes.
Her knowledge, combined with a graduate degree in Social Work and accreditation as a Senior Real estate Specialist, and Candidate Consultant on Aging, Julie has become the“go-to” person and thought leader in Guelph Real Estate for those retiring or making late life or emergency transitions. She has extensive experience in Condominium sales, and as a member of the CCI (Canadian Condominium Institute), Julie keeps herself up to date with the complexities of the ever-changing condominium market.
When not working, Julie utilizes her gifts as an active member of Harcourt United Church and other social service organizations, as well as Founding Circle member of Toronto HOTDOCS festival, and avid enthusiast of architecture and all things real estate.
