Beautifully located on Vancouver Island, Chateau Wolff is the original vineyard and winery in the Nanaimo area, bourne from a family legacy of European winemakers. On a modest, and charming acreage the vines planted over 20 years ago create the feel and character of an old world wine region. Chateau Wolff has focused on traditional varietals such as Pinot Noir, Dunkelfelder, Chardonnay, Bacchus and Siegerrebe with some interesting takes such as a dark red champagne.
As the founder and visionary for the Estate, Harry von Wolff concentrated on small lots and attention to quality without the used of pesticides which garnered the winery some notable and international awards throughout the years. The property is very central but private. There is a main residence and 1,500 sq foot winery productions facility with tasting room on site.
The winery has been well recognized and established in an area which is now host to an increasing number of wineries and small craft brewers and distillers. Part of a must see list for the Vancouver Island wine route Chateau Wolff is a just a quick, ten minute drive to downtown Nanaimo, 20 minute float plane service, or regular scheduled ferry from Vancouver.
